Erasmus+ mobilities for staff and faculty

Erasmus+ supports mobility measures for academic and administrative staff to expand internationalization. The international exchange of teachers and staff is an important pillar of VMI's internationalization strategy. In this sense, teaching and training stays are supported with the commitment by the institute's management and the International Office and are seen as a valuable resource for quality assurance, internationalization, and the individual professional careers of teachers and staff.

The Erasmus+ program promotes:

Staff mobility for teaching  (STA)

In the context of an Erasmus+ guest lectureship, teachers have the opportunity to gain new teaching experience at a partner university of the VMI and to get fresh impulses for their own work in exchange with international students and colleagues. The international exchange of teachers strengthens the partnership between the Erasmus+ partner universities and enables the teachers to establish important international contacts and expand their professional network.

Staff mobility for training  (STT)

Erasmus+ training mobility offers VMI teaching and administrative staff the opportunity to gain professional and personal development and new impetus for their own work through job shadowing, job shadowing, participation in workshops and seminars, staff weeks, or study visits. International training stays promotes cooperation between the VMI and international companies and supports participants in expanding their professional and personal networks.

The programme is open to all academic and administrational staff. Financial support is provided in the form of an Erasmus+ grant towards the costs of the stay and a flat-rate travel allowance. The International Office of the VMI supports outgoing teachers and staff in all organisational matters.
