Welcome to the International Office!

The VMI-Vienna Music Institute attaches great importance to building international relationships as well as maintaining existing partnerships with other international educational institutions. The close cooperation with our partners offers our students additional opportunities in the international music and culture business. Thus, stays abroad open up access to other cultures, traditions or performance practices, generate transnational projects and help students to build international networks.

The International Office of the VMI supports the international networking and presence of the VMI and is available to students, faculty and staff as a center of competence in international affairs.

Responsibilities

​

• Establishing, expanding and maintaining our network of international partnerships.

• Handling of EU education programs (Erasmus+).

• Advising and supporting outgoing and incoming students as well as faculty and staff.

• Coordination and supervision of international projects.

• In the spirit of "Internationalization at Home", we are committed to providing all students with the opportunity to gain international experience at their home university and thereby acquire intercultural and international competencies.

• Organization of German courses for international students.
