ERASMUS+ Internship

Media and Communication Design (m/f/d)

 

Duration: January to June 2026 (minimum 6 months)

The VMI – Vienna Music Institute, Conservatory of Contemporary Music, is seeking a motivated Erasmus+ intern in the field of Media or Communication Design to support our Marketing and Social Media team starting in January 2026.

This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a creative, international environment with a strong connection to music, art, and culture. As part of our team, you will work on exciting projects at the intersection of music education, media design, and digital communication.

 

Type of Internship - Erasmus+ funded internship abroad (for current students or recent graduates)

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Creation and editing of video and photo content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)

  • Support in the concept development and implementation of marketing and event projects

  • Design of graphics and posts for online and print media

  • Participation in editorial planning and management of our social media channels

  • Assistance with events, masterclasses, and media/music-related projects

 

Requirements

  • Ongoing or recently completed studies in Media, Communication, or Graphic Design

  • The home university must have an Erasmus+ cooperation program to enable student or graduate mobility

  • Excellent German and English skills, spoken and written

  • Proficient use of Canva (our primary design tool) is required

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs is an advantage

  • A strong interest in music and the cultural sector is highly desirable

  • Independent, creative, and reliable working style
