About the event
Afrobeats and Brazilian Rhythms Workshop
Discover and learn to recognize rhythms by listening to songs
Many times when we listen to a song the first instinctive thing we do is tap our feet or hands trying to keep in time and recognize the meter of the song. But have you ever wondered what that rhythm could be called, what it comes from, which country it comes from and in which historical period it was created? Most of the rhythms of the songs certainly come from Africa and were subsequently influenced by the various countries into which they were imported (forced imports due to the African slave trade mainly in the North and South Americas), certainly mixing them with local cultures.
During this workshop we will analyze songs (meter, genre, style, country of origin) extrapolating their rhythm and trying to study it while balancing on it and trying to make it spin.
Target audience: Everyone but it is strongly recommended for drummers.
Maximum number of participants: 10
